Conversations with Lucille Befort

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lucille Befort.

Hi Lucille, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a Parisian creative and cultural storyteller with a deep passion for building bridges between France and the United States. After earning my degree in Marketing and Communications from the American University of Paris, I began my career at the International Chamber of Commerce. However, it was through launching my own platform French Vibes Club that I found the most meaningful way to share my voice.

I founded French Vibes Club to showcase the richness and nuance of French culture not through tired clichés, but through thoughtful storytelling, curated content, and cross-cultural collaborations. Since its inception, the platform has grown into a vibrant community of over 185,000 people worldwide, with content featured in outlets such as Journal des Femmes and partnerships with iconic French institutions like Brasserie Lipp, Chambord and Bonjour Ben.

What continues to inspire me is how deeply American audiences connect with French culture not just aesthetically, but emotionally: the philosophy, the lifestyle, the art de vivre. That emotional resonance is the heart of my work. My goal is to create a modern cultural bridge that feels fresh, relevant, and rooted in authenticity blending heritage with contemporary storytelling.

Los Angeles, with its creative energy, diverse audience, and global influence, offers the ideal ecosystem to expand this mission. From media, to marketing, to cultural institutions, I’m eager to contribute meaningfully to a shared cultural narrative one that celebrates connection, identity, and global curiosity.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like any creative or entrepreneurial journey it hasn’t always been a smooth road but I see that as part of what shaped my vision and voice. Building something from the ground up, especially across cultures, comes with its share of challenges navigating different markets, wearing multiple hats, and staying consistent even when results take time. But each obstacle taught me how to adapt, stay focused and keep growing.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work sits at the intersection of content and digital marketing. I create and produce campaigns that highlight the French art of living through visuals, storytelling, and brand strategy with a clear goal: to make French culture feel alive, modern, and emotionally relevant.

Beyond visuals, I specialize in culturally driven digital marketing. I’m often called on for my ability to translate French lifestyle and values into messaging that resonates with international audiences, particularly in the U.S. From curating exhibitions to building high-performing branded campaigns, I bring a strategic, narrative-driven approach that blends creative vision with measurable impact.

What I’m most proud of is staying consistent with my vision while evolving creatively. I’ve built a platform that’s trusted not only by my audience and brand partners, but also by institutions like the U.S. Embassy and the French Consulate in Los Angeles testament to the cultural credibility and impact of my work. What sets me apart is my ability to merge cultural depth with digital influence something increasingly rare in today’s online space.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Authenticity is at the heart of everything I do. I don’t try to imitate or follow trends I focus on creating work that feels real, thoughtful, and emotionally true. I think people connect with that especially in a digital world that can often feel superficial.
