Meet Jennifer Feerer of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Feerer.

Jennifer, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It truly all started when I was a child. I would beg my mom to let me re-arrange my room or load the groceries into the car like a game of Tetris. On weekends, I would ask my neighbors if they would let me clean their houses because this was my way of having fun. I knew at a very young age I had a passion for aesthetics. After studying interior design at Learning Tree in the San Fernando Valley, I started my professional organizing business helping clients clear the clutter from their homes to create livable spaces with intentional functionality. I did this for several years, all while working a full time corporate job. In 2015 I partnered with another interior designer to furnish and arrange short term rental properties nationwide. In 2020, after servicing over 900 properties, I made the decision to step away from my corporate job to pursue my passion full-time. It was the best decision of my life! Being able to work for myself as a small business owner has been incredibly fulfilling.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been obstacle along the way for sure. Like with any business there are ebbs and flows. It takes a lot of faith to always know things are going to workout in the end. I have an amazing support system behind me that constantly reminds me I am on the right path. Even on my toughest days when my body is exhausted I am so grateful for what I do and for the clients I have helped.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Professional Organizer/Interior Designer. I help clients clear clutter from their spaces and bring functionality back into their homes. I truly do it all; garages, kitchens, closets, playrooms, offices…etc. No project is too big or too small for me to tackle. I have a unique ability to balance an empathy for sentimentality with functional practicality, while respecting each clients attachment to the objects that clutter their spaces. I am honored that so many people have trusted me to come into their homes, while exposing vulnerable parts of their lives. I feel a sense of achievement in seeing a client’s face light up when I transform a space from chaos to harmony. This is why I love what I do.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was extremely shy but inherited an interest in arts and crafts from my Dad. Drawing and Painting is something I really loved doing with him and my younger sister. Outside of that, I enjoyed playing video games, riding bikes, roller blading, and swimming.
