Hi Jay, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Watch Space originally began as Scorpio Luxury, a company we registered in 2015 in the San Francisco Bay Area. As newcomers to the United States, we worked tirelessly to build our reputation and earn the trust of customers in the luxury watch industry.

Just as we were preparing to launch our new platform, WatchSpace.com, an unexpected tragedy struck. In 2023, two individuals posing as buyers used $500,000 in counterfeit cash to steal an equal value of high-end watches from us. While we were still working with the police to bring them to justice, disaster struck again. In less than two weeks, we were violently robbed by two other assailants, and I was severely injured in the attack.

Barely a week after I left the hospital, I faced another blow—not from criminals, but from someone I once trusted. My former business partner refused to take responsibility for the robbery losses and instead filed a lawsuit against me, falsely claiming that his investment had only been a loan. He demanded that I bear the entire financial burden alone.

Despite these devastating challenges, I refused to give up. With the support of my family, I stood back up. We restructured the company and founded Watch Space Inc., launching WatchSpace.com with a renewed mission: to deliver more professional, transparent, and secure services for our customers in the second-hand luxury watch market.

Today, Watch Space stands not just as a business, but as a symbol of resilience and determination—built through hardship, rebuilt with hope.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We’ve also faced challenges from unreasonable customers. In one case, a client placed a deposit on a watch but later sent us a rude text message stating that he had decided to use the money to buy a car instead—and no longer wanted the watch. Per our clearly stated policy, we withheld the deposit to cover our losses.

Instead of accepting responsibility for his decision, he filed a lawsuit against us. The legal battle dragged on for nearly two years. But after a lengthy appeals process, we ultimately won the case. It was a hard-fought victory that reinforced the importance of standing by our principles and protecting our business against bad-faith behavior.

Last year, we welcomed three new partners into Watch Space—each bringing valuable expertise from different fields. One is a seasoned software engineer from Silicon Valley, another specializes in digital marketing and online growth, and the third has deep experience in operating and scaling retail chains.

Their involvement brought not only fresh capital but also new momentum to our platform’s development. With their support, we began integrating cutting-edge AI technologies into our services and launched a strategic plan to expand through franchise operations. These advancements have positioned Watch Space to serve a broader audience while maintaining the professionalism and precision we’re known for.
