Meet Anna Yoo of itstartswithyoo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Yoo.

Hi Anna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
It all started when I was hanging out with my friends and I realized I had been hearing on a consistent basis the saying
“ dating in la sucks.”
Of course, its not that I ever questioned the reason why dating in la sucks. I knew the reasons why. It was more of why no one ever really did anything to change the problem or find a solution to the problem. There were plenty of mental health organizations and alcoholics anonymous groups meeting, but there wasn’t really a support group to help people in la to assist in their relationship journey specific to their needs.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I believe that anything worth creating is a challenge, but the challenge is what helps us grow. The road will never be smooth and of course it has not been from the start. Some struggles I have faced along the way is that my idea was turned down despite being discussed among friends as a good idea.

The general idea in the beginning was to build a community to help in relationship building. However, because I did not know where to begin, it was a struggle.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Something you should know about itstartswithyoo is that its a podcast about you. Though I am the host, I enjoy listening to the story of your relationship journey. I am known for being a good listener and it is what sets me apart from others as a brand. I am proud to be the host of a podcast that shares different but similar stories that many people can relate to as they listen. One thing that I would want readers to know about itstartswithyoo is that everyone on here has a story of overcoming and as always, it starts with you.

How do you think about luck?
I believe that I have been extremely lucky when it comes to creating the brand itstartswithyoo. On my journey of creating, I was able to meet a couple well known business podcasters who helped guide me on how to succeed in the world of podcasting. Then, my entrepreneur friends came through for me when I told them I was starting to build my own platform by guesting on my podcast to share their own stories.
