Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Yung.
Hi Chris, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Chris Yung. I am a union Stunt Performer/action actor since 2012, specializing in martial arts, wire work, and equestrian arts. Also a Marine Corps Veteran. I got my start doing a commercial and motion capture for the Video game “Call of Duty”: Ghosts. I’m also an avid archer, instructor/clinician and a well accomplished competitive horse archer. I am fascinated with all things film and creativity. I love to learn new things, inspire others and be inspired. I have also trained celebrities in archery as been featured in many Television and commercial sports.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have been many struggles along the way. I was hit pretty hard with the pandemic, as well as the Actors, writers, and video game strikes. Productions have been leaving Los Angeles so many of us are finding other ways to stay creative.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work as a Stuntman for film and TV. I am also a competitive horse archer and considered one of the best (If not THE best, in my area of expertise in in the stunt community. I also specialize in wire work and, weapons and equestrian related work.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Stay creative, be willing to have an open mind, always try to learn new things. Keep your ego at the door, and maintain a good work ethic. Always be on time and never be late to a set or session.
