Life & Work with Leslie Feliz of Encino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leslie Feliz.

Hi Leslie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m originally from Massachusetts but have been blessed enough to experience almost 12 years in California, and those years have been nothing short of transformative. I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible companies—Entertainment, Digital Streaming Services,Advertising, and more —which gave me a front-row seat to some exciting, fast-paced environments. But like many people in recent years, the economic shifts and layoffs made me pause and reflect on what truly fuels me.

That reflection brought me back to my creative roots.

A year and a half ago, I leaped and started doing stand-up comedy—something I’d always admired but never fully pursued. It’s been one of the most healing, energizing, and empowering experiences of my life. Comedy has given me a space to reconnect with my voice, build confidence, and rediscover joy through self-expression. It reminded me that even in uncertain times, there’s always room to grow, laugh, and create something meaningful.

I’m still evolving, still exploring—but now I’m doing it with more intention, heart, and humor than ever before.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve lost everything before—more than once. I’ve moved double-digit times, faced unexpected job losses, navigated heartbreak, and even experienced deep betrayal from people I trusted most. There were moments when it felt like the ground kept shifting beneath me just as I found my footing. On top of that, I’ve battled health issues that affected me both neurologically and physically, forcing me to learn how to navigate life in a completely new way. Things that used to come easily became more challenging, and I had to develop a different kind of strength—one rooted in patience, resilience, and self-compassion.

But through it all, I’ve done my best to stay true to who I am. Every loss taught me to value stability. I learned to honor the hard moments without letting them define me. In doing so, I grew to appreciate the beauty in the small wins, the depth of real connections, and the gift of simply showing up for myself each day. It hasn’t been easy—but the growth, perspective, and sense of gratitude I’ve gained are things I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in creative services operations and project management—making sure creative workflows are efficient, collaborative, and aligned across all the moving parts. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing brands like Netflix, RedbullTV, FOX Sports, and Crunchyroll, leading everything from digital campaigns to branded content and cross-functional production.

But beyond the logistics, what really sets me apart is the energy I bring to the teams I work alongside with. Like my last name, Feliz, I try to show up with positivity, warmth, and a sense of humor. I value creating environments where people feel respected, supported, and motivated. Because when people feel good, they do their best work—and that’s always my goal.

Outside of my professional life, I do stand-up comedy—and it’s become a huge part of how I stay connected to my creativity. Comedy has helped me tap into my voice, build confidence, and bring more lightness and humanity into everything I do. Whether I’m managing a major campaign or warming up a room, I bring both structure and spark. I like to think of myself as a bridge between creativity and order, with a little laughter along the way.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is to protect and prioritize my peace. As much as I love to give and nurture those around me, I have to remember to not forget to keep my peace. I’ve come to deeply value balance, grounding, and self-love—not just as ideas, but as daily practices. Life has thrown me curveballs, and through it all, I’ve realized that my energy is sacred. When I’m aligned within, I can show up fully for myself and for others.

I’ve also become more in tune with the metaphysical side of life—the unseen, the intuitive, the energetic. That connection has helped me navigate the highs and lows with more grace and clarity. I truly believe we’re all here to grow, to evolve, and to help others do the same. So now, whether I’m working, creating, or simply existing, I aim to radiate love and light wherever I go.
