Daily Inspiration: Meet Euphaura Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Euphaura Events

Hi Euphaura, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I (Jericho) initially thought of the idea for EuphAura while managing events under another collective called Shadow Events. When that collective eventually dissolved, my passion for event creation led me to continue on my own. I partnered with one of my former collective members, Troy, and by the end of 2023, we decided to host our first EDM bass event. The event, held at a warehouse, featured Untitld and Lyqd as headliners, alongside other talented local DJs from Los Angeles. Since then, we’ve been hosting shows every other Friday at Crane’s Bar in downtown LA. This biweekly bass event, which we’ve named Subvault, highlights both up-and-coming and established artists in the scene. And every year our goal is to expand our vision and grow as a team.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been the smoothest road. When you choose to climb peaks in life, there will be obstacles and challenges that will either evolve you or defeat you. It’s up to you whether you want to rise to the occasion or let it pass you by. In the music scene, it takes awareness and balance to succeed. There is hardships, like managing egos, financial difficulties, life challenges, and unexpected situations. But with struggles come lessons of growth that can lead to great outcomes and experiences. There will always be struggles, but each one teaches you a valuable lesson.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Our work is incredibly important to us because we represent the underground electronic music culture of Los Angeles. We deeply care about the talents of other DJs and producers. We absolutely love growing with the community and being a name that holds something special for both of us. We’re most proud of each show we throw because we truly believe in every single artist we book. What sets us apart is the definition of Euphaura: “Not a place you can reach, nor a feeling to describe, but an experience to live.”

What makes you happy?
Being involved in the music scene truly makes us happy. We love that we get to be a part of something we genuinely care about. It gives us the opportunity to surround ourselves with like-minded individuals who share our passion and drive. This connection not only motivates us but also inspires us to keep pushing forward with our work, knowing that we’re contributing to something bigger than ourselves.We love LA!
