Today we’d like to introduce you to Dana Hartert.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started designing jewelry over 28 years in high school. My inspiration was always about a woman’s individuality and freedom of Style. No rules! We’re all one of a kind and it’s this sense of freedom to choose what makes you feel and look good! Unique, Bold and Beautiful. My jewelry offers a variety of designs; from chunky & bold, repurposed vintage relics, religious or inspirational emotional connections to a simple staple piece and everything in between. Our repurposed designer pieces are our favorite, such as Chanel and Louis Vuitton. We have something special for every woman.

Has it been a smooth road?
No, it’s a definite leap of faith to put yourself out there with something you’re so passionate about and being that we don’t follow trends but rather our own style (that’s always changing) There is no guarantee if your designs will be accepted and loved by others.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Adorne by Dana story. Tell us more about the business.
Adorne by Dana is jewelry for women that have style (not trends) that is all their own. I love when customers find us and just really connect with the pieces of our jewelry, not just as something to go with a certain dress or outfit but a real connection. That is what it’s about and inspiring every day. One of a kind!

The challenges for any women as a wife, mother and business owner are real, juggling time and your attention and prioritizing, always prioritizing. Not to mention always keeping your line fresh and anew. We don’t reproduce 1 style 20x over. It’s a real passion and appreciation to love what we do and to constantly keep evolving. I hand select every single piece and never buy vintage in bulk.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I would love to continue to grow our wholesale customers and expand our reach. We have the most loyal and supportive resellers that have an understanding for the quality and uniqueness of our jewelry. With the launch of our website last year, we are also excited to grow our direct sales month over month.
