Today we’d like to introduce you to Noa Mazar
Hi NOA, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born in Norway in 1998 to an Israeli diplomat, Dr. Ofer Mazar. Because of my father’s work, my childhood was filled with international relocations, which shaped my perspective and love for the arts. I spent much of my early years in Rome, Italy, where I discovered my passion for performance—whether it was dancing, acting, or playing Cha-Cha Di Gregorio in my school’s production of Grease at the American School of Rome.
At 12, my family moved to Los Angeles, where I was introduced to even more creative opportunities. Being surrounded by such a vibrant artistic environment inspired me to keep exploring different forms of self-expression. At 16, I returned to Israel, where I finished high school and served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). That experience challenged me in ways I never expected, teaching me discipline, resilience, and the importance of hard work—lessons that have stayed with me throughout my artistic journey.
At 21, I moved back to Los Angeles to pursue my dreams. Alongside my creative work, I took on a role at the Consulate General of Israel and became a producer and host for Explore Israel on Jewish Life Television (JLTV), a show that introduced Israel to English-speaking audiences.
Music and acting have always been my greatest passion, and in 2022, I released my debut single, WITHOUT U. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to be involved in other creative projects, from appearing in Jaden Smith’s “Summer” music video to performing as a singer and guitarist in the award-winning film Al Culana.
In 2024, I released Love the Way He, Sweatshirts, and Twelve Twelve, songs that reflect my personal growth as an artist and a storyteller. I was also honored to sign music with Artlist, which has allowed me to share my work with even more people around the world.
My journey has been shaped by different cultures, experiences, and the incredible people I’ve met along the way. I feel grateful every day for the chance to create, to connect, and to keep evolving as an artist. My goal has always been to tell honest stories through my music, acting, and hosting—and I hope to continue doing just that.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been smooth sailing at all—I think every artist faces a lot of challenges along the way. We choose a path where success is never guaranteed, but when done right, it brings a deep sense of fulfillment. That’s always been my goal—to do what I love, feel fulfilled, and create work that resonates with people, whether through my music or on-screen performances.
There are definitely challenges—rejection, performances that don’t go as planned, disappointments in the people around us, or projects that get canceled. It can be frustrating, but I’ve learned that it’s all part of the process. Every setback helps me grow, toughens my skin, and pushes me to keep going.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a singer-songwriter, actress, and host. I try by nest to blend my Israeli-Italian background into my creative work. My music combines honest storytelling with a bit of attitude and playfulness, drawing inspiration from different artists while keeping my own personal touch. Beyond music, I’ve also had the opportunity to act and host, which allows me to connect with people in different ways.
I’m especially proud of the songs I released in 2024—Love the Way He, Sweatshirts, and Twelve Twelve—as they represent my growth as both an artist and a songwriter. Signing music with Artlist was also a big milestone, giving my work the chance to reach more listeners. I’m excited for my new single that comes out in March and am sure 2025 has a lot in store for me.
I think that what sets me apart is my ability to blend different influences and experiences into my work while staying true to who I am. I always aim to create something that resonates with people, whether it’s through music, acting, or hosting. More than anything, I just want my work to make people feel understood, inspired, or even just entertained.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always a mix of creative energy and curiosity. I loved performing from a young age—whether it was dancing, acting, or later on, singing. I was that kid who would put on shows for family and friends, always drawn to storytelling in any form.
Personality-wise, I was (and still am) pretty determined. If I set my mind to something, I’d give it my all, even if it didn’t come easy. At the same time, I’ve always been a bit of a dreamer—imagining big things, creating stories in my head, and wanting to express myself in ways that felt meaningful.
My interests were always centered around the arts, but I was also fascinated by different cultures, probably because of my international upbringing. Moving between countries like Italy, Israel, and the U.S. exposed me to so many perspectives, and I think that really shaped who I am today.
Even as a kid, I loved making people feel something—whether it was making them laugh, entertaining them, or just sharing moments through music and performance. That’s still what drives me today.
