Today we’d like to introduce you to Alina Brace
Hi Alina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hi, I am Alina and I am a child actor. I was always interested in TV and film, and asked my parents if I could take acting lessons when I was 4 years old. After taking lessons at a local acting studio and performing a showcase at the end of the school year, I was signed by my agents. At the age of 5, I booked my first major motion picture role in Steven Spielberg’s semi-autobiographical film, The Fabelmans. The film received widespread critical acclaim and seven Oscar nominations. Besides acting, I love to spend time with my family, read books, do science experiments, ice skating, gymnastics, and singing.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There is a lot of competition and rejection in this industry, and it can be very hard to deal with it, especially being a child actor. I am thankful that I have very supportive parents and my agents that guide me and help me grow and do what I love.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My first TV role was on an episode of Sweet Magnolias Season 2. Shortly thereafter, I booked a role to play younger Natalie Fabelman, in Steven Spielberg’s, semi-autobiographical film The Fabelmans. This was my very first movie and I am so proud of it. You can also catch me on an episode of Average Joe, now streaming on Netflix and in a family film, Popular Theory, available on Amazon Prime.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck is definitely a part of any actor’s career and success, but I think it is a small part. Hard work, dedication and determination is more important and play a big part of your success. So, keep working hard towards your goals and your dreams will come true.
