Daily Inspiration: Meet Eric Estrada

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Estrada

Hi Eric, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started writing and creating music at an early age. By 15 yrs old I had a few guitars, a beat machine and a Tascam 8 track tape recorder.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Lots of peaks and valleys, but I think that’s what makes us stronger. It’s helped me become the artist I am today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Sure, I’m an artist and producer from Redlands, California. I have a strong background in music and was a founding member of acclaimed bands OneHundred Proof and Raid The Empire. I’m a a multi-instrumentalist, but my instrument of choice would be the guitar. I pull inspiration from a wide range of genres, such as Jazz, R&B, Alternative Hip Hop, Alternative Rock and Metal. Ive cultivated a unique and captivating style of songwriting that seamlessly blends these influences into a cohesive and captivating musical experience. Through my music, I can fearlessly dive into the depths of my own turbulent past, offering a raw and honest glimpse into my journey. With the rhythmic foundation of hip hop drums and the expressive melodies of jazz, i weave together a tapestry of sound that not only resonates with listeners but also serves as a sonic autobiography. One of my distinctive traits is my ability to create my own samples, adding an extra layer of authenticity and personalization to my compositions. By incorporating a diverse range of musical influences, I’m able to craft a narrative that is uniquely my own, taking the listener on a transformative and introspective journey. I’m currently working on several projects for other artists with my team and brother, Jimi Estrada. I was asked last year to help write with and become a member of the artist, Conejo’s, band. After being invited to work with, Rick One, of the 3013 Music Group from Los Angeles I was fortunate enough to be a contributing writer on, Conejo’s, new album dropping this year. Everything we do is in house. I’m also managed by my brother, Jimi Estrada, with, 10 West Management.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I’d say being yourself and genuine has more power than people think.
