Today we’d like to introduce you to Carol Webb.
Hi Carol, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up in a small town, San Jacinto, CA, as the proud daughter of Honduran immigrant parents. They always encouraged me to pursue what I loved most, and I’ve been passionate about drawing for as long as I can remember. Throughout middle and high school, I earned multiple awards and recognitions for my artwork, which solidified my decision to pursue an art career.
After attending public school, I wanted a college that reflected my Christian values, which led me to Biola University. I graduated in December 2014 with a BFA in Graphic Design and Drawing. Shortly after, I began my career as a graphic designer at Rose Publishing. However, after a short time, I was let go because I struggled to quickly learn web design coding. That experience taught me resilience, and six months later, I was hired as a graphic designer for the Salvation Army’s Caring Magazine.
In 2018, I transitioned into freelance photography and videography, simultaneously taking on multiple creative projects. This phase of my career allowed me to travel, leading to an incredible opportunity to film projects for a professional NBA player. During this time, I realized the growing importance of digital marketing and the challenges of scaling independently. Wanting to grow and make a more significant impact, I partnered with my brother, Daniel Martinez, who has a Master’s in International Marketing. Together, we launched Revamped Media in April 2021—a digital marketing agency focused on helping businesses grow through bold branding, innovative strategies, and genuine partnerships. We also opened our first studio in Anaheim, CA.
My journey has been shaped by my heritage, faith, and passion for creativity, and I’m proud to use those values to make a meaningful impact through my work.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey hasn’t been easy. One of the biggest challenges was overcoming the constant doubt and wrestling with the idea that I could make this happen. Not having formal photography, videography, or business education often made me question my abilities. However, it’s been through perseverance, unwavering determination, and a deep belief in my calling that I’ve been able to push through the hard times. Faith is about trusting in what we cannot yet see, and that belief has been my anchor along the way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a creative at heart. What began as a passion for drawing evolved into a journey through graphic design, photography, and videography. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills in each medium. Now, I am privileged to lead a talented team at our agency, bringing all these disciplines together to create impactful work.
I’m most proud of my ability to master and seamlessly integrate these creative forms. This versatility allows me to understand the details of each medium and equips me to guide and inspire my team effectively.
What sets me apart is my ability to excel in all four areas: drawing, graphic design, photography, and videography. This unique combination of skills enables me to approach projects with a comprehensive creative vision and deliver outstanding results.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love the Beautiful Beaches and Great Weather our city has to offer. With mild winters and sunny summers, the year-round temperate climate is hard to beat.
I’m not a fan of the High Cost of Living and Traffic.
