Conversations with Randy Vission

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randy Vission

Hi Randy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
So you can’t necessarily start talking or explaining about the Randy Vission story without including the big man himself, his father, DJ Eddie V. Growing up with constant Legendary artists, musicians and DJs always being around, It was only natural for Randy to get his foot in the industry. His mentors like Richard Humpty Vission, Bad Boy Bill, DJ, Irene, Tony, B, etc., etc. he was bound for glory. It was only a matter of time for him to comprehend the fundamentals and what it took and what discipline it took to acknowledge such strength and feats through the power of a turntable. Fast forward 10 years later and he’s on the top of his game. With already conquering Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas (EDC) Nocturnal Wonderland, Coachella under his belt, I guess you can say he’s already been there and done that. The man needs no introduction, The Man Can’t Miss.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Essentially,
Life has taken a toll with the wildfires now in effect. It’s been over twenty years of struggle, but it’s not how you fall; it’s how you pick yourself back up. Over the past year, I’ve had to deal with grief and the passing of a few close friends to drug use. It made me want to be better at being a friend. Being known for always being there for someone is pretty awesome. its like you almost become this super hero. But there’s always going to be that one hater in the distance. Sometimes, its the closest ones to you that stab you in the back.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ve always been good at Music. From reciting the Beastie Boys front to back or Figuring out what’s the BPM of the track and i’ll get in spot on 10 times out of 10. What ive also learned to be good at is being honest. Being honest with yourself and others around you creates a trust, a bond, a sense of security with one another.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice for those starting out is plain and Simple…..

Make music for YOU….. You only….
the rest falls right into place.
