Today we’d like to introduce you to Olive Glass
Hi Olive, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in West Desert, Utah in the 90’s, and moved around a lot growing up- the combination of a very conservative religious background and being on the road so often with my parents led me to have a very restless creative streak. I knew I wanted to be an artist from the time I could color- it always felt like my truest calling. At 16, I sold my first painting at an art showcase at my high school, and soon after that I left home, travelled the American West, and began working as a freelance artist for rock, hardcore, and indie bands during the height of the myspace era. When I hit my 20’s, I was discovered by a photographer in Utah and soon after began modeling full-time. I travelled the world, working with everyone from photographers to sculptors, designers, artist, and filmmakers. I also showcased my artwork during this time, in galleries from New York to LA, and online.
Currently, I live in a quiet coastal town in Portugal, with my two cats. I spend my days creating art, working on my adult content site, fencing, horseback riding, and traveling Europe. I will be returning to LA in April, and am so excited to see old friends and make new art!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
it definitely hasn’t been easy! my career has been a roller coaster of highs and lows. But, dedicating my time and energy to building the life I truly want, and making space for me to fully pursue my dreams and passions has been worth every second of it!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an artist, model, photographer, and adult actress with a very distinctly unique and creative style. I’d say what sets me apart is my highly stylized work- whether it’s my surreal illustrations and acrylic paintings, or my ethereal modeling and photography, I believe that my style is highly recognizable and well-developed. I think I’m most proud of my ability to dive deeply in myself to create images and artwork that truly reflect my inner world- my imagination is very complex, and it’s a relief and joy as an artist to be able to successfully translate my thoughts onto a canvas.
