Meet Tasha Biltmore of BILTMORE PRODUCTIONS

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Biltmore.

TASHA, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born in Detroit, Michigan a Motown Girl, graduated high school, went to Jr. College got married at 20 yrs old and life began. The life of hard knock. its cold in the D even colder when everyone is against you including the one you married. It’s yr 2000 an I have had 4 last names and still a single mom of three daughters. Some may say marriage is not for you. I say I am wifey material the guys were not ready… Just being a black hard working man in America putting GOD first, family second is hard for some men… instead, I became a victim of Domestic Abuse, Physical, Emotional, Rape you name it… Hmmm, It happened.

Fast forward to 2003 I found my voice thru poetry. If I could say anything to the many who abused me and stole my innocence what would I say… The poem “The Conversation ” was born and God did the rest… From open mic to a stage play now film for a tv series… I just wanted to be heard… well … God had other plans. Welcome to Hollywood, The Conversation Stage Play comes to life… my story on stage at the Stellar Adler… I cried every night on my way home…

You would not understand you would have to be on that bloody bathroom floor or in the shower just to get away from the abuse some days 3 to 4 showers a day… I guess that was my spa moment..lol … I wanted the focus off me so I created Biltmore Productions I want to help women not one or two but millions I wanna tell our real story the way it happened not watered down to make others comfortable. how you gonna fix something you have not experienced.. my work will show you and make you uncomfortable for one hr and 40 min. I was uncomfortable for five yrs 320 days out of the year…

Now its 2018 guess what they never broke me they just bruised me… Get ready for the tour I was Bruised Not Broken … I see you, God… feeding my spirit to be the woman I know I can be strong raw in your face with the truth of what pain feels like from the ones you trust and promised to love you…

Has it been a smooth road?
Never smooth, the ones who cry and pray with you will betray you… Jesus, I feel what you felt.. This Hollywood story is no joke the mask people wear to get close if your career is lit…

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the BILTMORE PRODUCTIONS story. Tell us more about the business.
Biltmore Production is a multimedia company for film, music and theater. I specialize in giving you the truth of character, the story etc. I am known for bringing awareness to Domestic Violence thru the arts. I am proud of my inner circle within my company I will always have their backs. I live by my truth. God always guide my hand so sometimes I think I am going one way and God direct me in another direction and it’s always bigger than where I thought I was going.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Well it has started, with me too movement women speaking up and they are no longer willing to stay hidden for a job, I feel we have a long way to go but what a great start…
