Community Highlights: Meet Janessa West of Mobile OC Notary

Today we’d like to introduce you to Janessa West.

Hi Janessa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It was 2017 and I was a struggling real estate agent and a single mother of two living in Huntington Beach, CA, trying to make ends meet. I stumbled upon a YouTube video talking about making $100k a year as a Notary and Loan Signing Agent. I had known a friend that did this similar thing years ago. I talked to her and she said she didn’t think it was possible to make that kind of money, that maybe that was more when the housing market was going crazy.

Being the entrepreneur that I am this kind of put a light under me and made me want to prove her wrong. So I went through the steps to get my CA Notary Public Commission, which takes about 3 -4 months. I started marketing my business and before I knew it, I was busy! I was doing loan signings and general Notary work.

Fast forward to 2022, I now have a team of Notaries throughout the Orange County area. We offer mobile notary services at the customer’s home, office, hospital, nursing home, or local coffee shop. We make getting documents notarized simple and easy! We also offer Apostille services for any documents for all 50 United States, this is a service that is for US originated documents that need to be presented in a foreign country.

In 2022, we will also be adding fingerprinting services to our mobile service offerings throughout the Orange County area.

Being able to provide a necessary and convenient service to the public is so fulfilling and rewarding. We serve people who prefer to have a Notary come to their location by choice or those that aren’t able to leave for physical or health reasons and need the service of a mobile Notary at their location. We truly have seen a huge increase in the need for our mobile services since covid. We are glad that we were already in business, offering a business model that has now become the norm for so many other businesses.

Mobile OC Notary is your trusted source for all Notary & Apostille services at your location throughout the Orange County area. We come to you and make all things Notary easy!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would say it was a slow growth, covid defiantly created a larger opportunity of growth for us already being a mobile company.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I have been an entrepreneur since 2004….it’s been a long a difficult ride! Alongside of being an entrepreneur, I was a single mom for that whole time, raising two boys alone in Huntington Beach, trying to make ends meet.

I refused to give up on making my dreams happen of owning my own successful business. Working for a paycheck for someone else’s business wasn’t ever for me, I couldn’t do it! It’s never been my mindset.

Mobile OC Notary is known for putting our customers first. We offer top-quality customer service and make sure we communicate personally with our customers every step of the way from the moment they schedule with us.

I am most proud of being an Orange County Native myself. I was born and raised in Anaheim and then lived in Huntington Beach for 20+ years as an adult where I raised my kids. OC is my home, to be able to have a successful business here and to work with my community, offering a valuable and much-needed service is everything to me! This is also why I chose to name my business Mobile OC Notary. I wanted to give my home a shout out!

We offer Notary services for all types of documents such as Trusts, Power of Attorney, all Real Estate Documents, including deeds, refinance, quit claim deeds, buyers and seller packages, divorce, adoption, and medical documents. We offer Notary for affidavits, oaths, and witnessing services available as well. We can notarize almost any document, even handwritten letters!

A Notary’s job is to witness the person signing the document and properly verify their identity. Once the Notary has done this, the Notary will sign and place a Notary seal/stamp on your document to prove it has been Notarized.

Our Apostille services are specialized services offered for all documents that originate from any state within the United States such as a birth, death or marriage certificate, FBI background check or a personal document such as a Power of Attorney or Release of Interest or any other document.

We assist in the Apostille process to make sure your document is Apostilled or Certified by the proper state authority in the quickest time manner without any concern of rejection of your documents so you may use or present your completed documents in whatever foreign country you need.

What matters most to you? Why?
Providing top-quality customer experience and customer service to every single customer, Being able to educate the customer on how Notarization works and what they need to be prepared, especially when having documents such as a trust or Power of Attorney notarized as witnesses are usually needed, and a witness can’t be just anyone.
