We recently had the chance to connect with Maggie Jane and have shared our conversation below.
Maggie, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Energy without a doubt. Having positive, magnetic energy is a clear sign that you are putting in the work in every part of your life. Energy never lies. No matter how much money you make, how talented you are, or how good looking you are, if your energy is off I don’t want any part of it!!
I devote the majority of my time in protecting, mastering, and honoring my sacred energy because I know how valuable it is. Energy is power. Your energy speaks volumes more than words ever could. What kind of energy do you think you give off?
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi my name is Maggie Jane and I am the host of The Magical Lane, a podcast dedicated to helping you find the magic in your life, improving your self love, and being a fun guide to achieving all of your wildest dreams. As I’m writing this, I am officially one week away from dropping my 100th episode!! Consistency truly is key.
Creating this podcast has been one of the most life changing and magical decisions I could have made for myself. I love this journey more than anything, and I would love for you to join me on this magical journey of life. You can find it on any platform where podcasts are streamed 🙂
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
That my opinions and voice didn’t matter. I was never one to speak up for myself or others. I always had a burning desire to speak my mind, and share my opinion or to yell out the answer in class, but I struggled for so many years trying to actually find the confidence to do that. I remember this overwhelming feeling of anxiety flooding through my body any time I had to share in front of others, or when I would get called on in class. But the ironic part is, I loved being the best. These two feelings were constantly butting heads with one another. Knowing I had the answers or could get first place but with zero confidence to actually make it happen. Eventually I realized that allowing myself to shine and lead didn’t take away from anyone else, and now I’m living this beautiful life I’ve created of free expression and passion.
When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
Music. I absolutely love everything about music. If I was ever feeling sad or angry or frustrated just know that I had a playlist to match, and still do. Music moves you in a way that nothing else ever can. Feeling every beat, hearing every lyric, letting it completely take over your soul with every ounce becoming more soaked in the rhythm.. nothing beats it.
The music I listen to now solely depends on my mood for the day. I listen to anything from jazz and classical to alternative rock and indie pop. Anything that has a good beat and a good story I will listen to it.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
My podcast. Like I mentioned in the beginning, starting this podcast has been everything for me. What once started out as a ploy to get on Jay Shetty’s podcast, has now become a channel for continuously improving my life and all of those who tune in. Every single Thursday when I drop an episode, I get this feeling like I’m making a difference, even if it is just for one person. I am living in my purpose. I am using my voice and light to inspire thousands around the world to create their own magical path in life. Best believe I still have that goal of interviewing Jay Shetty, but now I have this two year story of growth, passion, and so many lessons behind it.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
Divine love
I am simply a being of the divine sharing her message through the form of a podcast and the title of Maggie Jane. I am joy and laughter. I am peace and compassion. I am a silly human enjoying this silly life making the absolute most of every moment that I can.
