We recently had the chance to connect with Lisa Malcolm and have shared our conversation below.
Lisa, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Taking a morning walk in nature has become one of my favorite parts of the day. It gives me a sense of calm before the workday begins and allows space for clear thinking. I use that time to center myself, listen to the sounds around me, and reconnect with what is real and simple. It is a reminder to slow down and appreciate the small moments that often get lost once the pace of the day picks up.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Lisa Malcolm, CEO and founder of Lynk PR. After more than twenty years in the entertainment industry, I built Lynk PR to bridge traditional Hollywood strategy with modern storytelling. Our focus is on creating meaningful visibility for talent, brands, and productions through relationships, narrative clarity, and precision execution. What makes Lynk PR unique is our mix of experience and instinct. We understand how to connect people and projects to the right audiences in a way that feels authentic and lasting. Right now we are expanding our work across film, television, and digital media, helping clients position themselves for long term impact in an industry that is always changing.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that believed I had to do everything myself. Letting go of that mindset has allowed more collaboration, trust, and creative freedom. It opened space for growth and for others to shine.
When did you last change your mind about something important?
I recently changed my mind about what growth looks like. For a long time, I equated growth with constant expansion and motion. Now I see it as refinement, choosing quality over quantity, and allowing space for balance. Slowing down can be just as powerful as moving fast when it is done with intention.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
I look for endurance and impact. A fad creates noise, but a true shift changes behavior, language, and long term strategy. I pay attention to what remains after the excitement fades. If something continues to shape how people think, connect, or create, it is a real shift worth building on.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I understand that visibility is not the same as value. In a culture that moves fast and rewards attention, it is easy to mistake exposure for impact. Real influence comes from consistency, credibility, and purpose. When you build with intention rather than noise, the results last.
