Story & Lesson Highlights with Brandi M. Jones of Beverly Hills

We recently had the chance to connect with Brandi M. Jones and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandi M., thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I genuinely cherish the character I’ve cultivated over the years. Each journey I’ve taken has unveiled the core values that guide my life, and I’m sincerely grateful for those experiences. I have actively sought knowledge, enhancing my thought processes and refining my actions. Embracing healing and mastering forgiveness has not only been rewarding but has also helped me understand myself better—my strengths, weaknesses, limits, and, most importantly, my values.

By investing in our personal growth, we can move forward with intention and clarity. It brings so much joy to stand confidently in my choices and to celebrate my unique gifts. I deeply value my time alone; engaging in reading, reflecting, and writing has had a transformative effect on my life. I’ve seen my skills flourish, my confidence rise, and my capacity for love deepen. Every aspect of my life thrives because I’m committed to my growth and self-discovery.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’ve always had a strong drive to succeed. By the time I was 16, I found myself interviewing some of the most influential figures in Chicago, including the Mayor. This incredible early exposure to storytelling and presentation profoundly shaped my understanding of people and their unique images.

My mission goes beyond simply dressing individuals in beautiful garments; I translate their identities into stunning looks that narrate their stories. My clients are not only noticed; they are remembered. That’s the transformative power of style infused with substance.

In my work, I prioritize discretion, precision, and authenticity. I’ve had the privilege to style renowned icons who rely on a polished image for their personal brands. Whether it’s a red carpet event or a brand campaign, I craft a visual narrative that resonates with who they are and what they stand for.

In 2018, I proudly launched The Brandi Jones Experience, my bespoke styling and branding firm. The recognition I received from the Los Angeles Business Journal Fashion Awards was a significant milestone for me. This journey is about more than just clothes; it’s about strategy and the profound impact of confidence and presence that extend well beyond the wardrobe.

I am deeply passionate about women’s empowerment and making a social impact. As a Certified Violence Prevention Specialist, I’ve supported various initiatives that support and empower women. Currently, I serve as the President of the Parent Advisory Council for the Culver City Unified School District. As an entrepreneur, wife, and mother, my brand is built on the belief that style can empower—it’s not just about looking good, but about leading with purpose.

To me, style is a strategic tool. Fashion may be the initial impression, but the real magic happens when image aligns seamlessly with identity. When that alignment occurs, you don’t just enter a room; you command it. That’s the experience I offer my clients: elegance, confidence, and a presence that resonates before they even speak.

I feel incredibly fortunate to engage not only with the vibrant world of Hollywood but also with everyday leaders, heroes, and tastemakers who inspire me every day!

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
I can confidently say that my relationship with my daughter has profoundly shaped my self-perception. As this bond continues to evolve, I have come to a powerful realization: I am not defined by my mother or my father, nor by the environment in which I was raised. I am a mother—strong, capable, and fiercely dedicated to being the best parent possible.

I take immense pride in being a woman of ethics and values, committed to cultivating the qualities, gifts, and characteristics that my daughter inherently possesses. Each day, through every milestone, I am reminded of my own strength and worth. My daughter serves as the most compelling reflection of who I am. Her joy, achievements, moments of sadness, compassion, and intelligence are a testament to the love and guidance she receives. There is no greater fulfillment than knowing that I play a vital role in shaping a life filled with love and potential. And thus far, we are thriving.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me resilience.
Suffering taught me responsibility.
Suffering taught me how to compartmentalize.
Suffering built my Faith.
Suffering taught me that suffering only lasts a short while. How we deal with suffering and who we become on the other side of it lasts forever.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
I believe that “smart” people are underestimating the power of influence today and failing to recognize how significantly people, media, technology, and social networks can shape thoughts, behaviors, and decisions.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When have you had to bet the company?
Every day, every client, every campaign, every red carpet, every pitch is a bet on my company.

The only certainty is my dedication to being the best stylist, the best version of myself.
