Salvatore Russildi shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Salvatore , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first thing I do as I wake up is, drink water, then I meditate for around 20 min. Following that, thank everything that I’ve gone thru, and everything Im fighting to get or everywhere I want to go, but I say it as if I already have it, I think affirmations help us to take some of the pressure we load ourselves with. Specially when we feel we haven’t gotten what we want yet. So meditation and affirmations help me to stay focused and loose.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Salvatore Russildi I’m an actor, I do Film, theatre, voice over, and play the base guitar,
Most of my family are artists in one way or another, and I’ve been acting since I’m a child, but I’ve also studied biology, and fought and thought Muay Thai.
Right now I’m working on writing my 3rd theatre peace and my 2nd film script In between projects when I have time. So might take a little while for me to finish them
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My grandfather with out a doubt, he always made you feel protected and I could feel, how proud he was of us.
He would love to sing, cook and play domino,
We felt accepted by him by at all times.
That feeling of feeling loved and seen just cause we were part of his family is a memory that I treasure
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
At a point. I’m sure lots of people have gone thru this moment of feeling nothing you do moves you towards where you want to go, and you feel trapped in you’re life, and quitting feels way safer and easier than keep pushing,
But resilience is the name of the game, I feel one more day, one more step, just worry about the next step. And when you least expected and with time you’ll see how far have you come. An how much you’ve changed
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
Everyone who “makes it” (whatever making it mean to each of us mean) has discipline, that doesn’t mean everyone who’s disciplined will make it. But definitely all who get there have it.
I cannot prove it. But I truly believe and feel this is true.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
No I love what I do, even tho, I have a long way to go, I wouldn’t stop. I feel like if I had 10 years left and I would stop, it would be a pretty boring 10 years.
I have a lot of fun, finding creating and exploring characters. Being on sets. Theatres, meeting people, creating.
Makes me happy to be able to do what I do. With everything that comes with it.
