Today we’re excited to be connecting with Victor Wilde again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Victor, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
I was born in Bay Ridge Brooklyn in a very Italian American household and decided to become a vegan at the tender age of two. No joke. Being so self aware and self assured at such an early age was very unsettling to my family as you can imagine. A child not only disobeying commands to eat, but willfully refusing to eat grandma’s meatballs is essentially a sin. Long story short, I was born breaking, “rules” and once I am committed I will not be uprooted, purchased, swayed or stopped. This quality of my character persists, pervades , and protects everything I do . It’s the engine behind Bohemian Society and our twenty plus years of punching way above our weight.
Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
Currently conducting experiments in Bohemian Society’s Astra Periclitari Laboratory. We call our new wearable experience, Working Mans Dead. Based in the Japanese philosophy and design style, Wabi-sabi. WMD embraces imperfection, impermanence, the natural aging process and putting in work. A series of hand crafted one of one experimental work wear. Worn in and worked over by workers putting in work; Reworked. Reborn. WORKING MANS DEAD.
