Rising Stars: Meet Naila Léa of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Naila Léa.

Hi Naila, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
All my life I’ve been dreaming about leaving my hometown Armenia and creating a life of my own, somewhere else, starting from scratch.
It was 2013 and I was working at a regular job, then one day, I just couldn’t take it anymore, I felt like I didn’t belong.. I was kind of done with my job and everything, so I just quit my job without knowing what’s next. That whole month or so, I was just working on my inner state, acting as if I already was the person that I wanted to be, I behaved as though I had already got the so much desired US visa. Within a month and a half or so, things turned out in such a way that I actually got the visa and now was on my way to Los Angeles for-real. I remember when I started acting as if, I got into the character so much, that I even asked my mom to come with me to shop for a luggage, and she was laughing at me, when I told her I need a luggage cos I am gonna be “going” to Hollywood lol I had even packed my luggage before I even knew how its gonna work, I didn’t care, I was ready. My luggage for sure was!

Then I came to America, and I figured out that American Dream was a lie. I was now all alone in the jungle and I could be eaten at any second. You can see my youtube video where I share about this, its called “The Myth Of The American Dream”.

It’s been a long, wild ride not gonna lie.
Looking back, would I repeat it again knowing what I know, now, I don’t know. I think just being so young, inexperienced and passionate was what led me to this bold adventure on my own, without even properly speaking English, with just $2,000 in my pocket.

In LA it felt like I was an alien around humans. Which I was, my green card said “Alien” in reference to me lol, yes, I am now a proud U.S. citizen.

My journey in entertainment started when I put all my passion into writing my first song, Paradise and releasing it, I think, in 2022. Then came the song “Savage” and then the “Pussification”

In 2024 I started working on my next project. Which is the “Naila Léa Show” series on YouTube. It is still in the beginning, I would say, blossoming stages of it. There’s only few episodes out now though I’m very passionate about this project of mine and It takes an enormous amount of work, when you are counting so much on yourself on a project like this, but at this point its me against me, and I gotta do it, this is my journey, this is my life and my luggage is ready!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I sing/rap, I do stand up comedy and I direct and host “Naila Léa Show” on YouTube, it’s comedic interviews with people from all walks of life.
