Today we’d like to introduce you to Lousine Karibian.
Hi Lousine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Turning Passion Into Purpose – In My Own Words
I was born in Yerevan, Armenia, and at just eight years old, I moved to Los Angeles. Growing up in Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley, I was surrounded by so many different cultures, stories, and people. That diversity inspired me and planted the belief that I was destined to create something meaningful.
As a child, I loved painting. I dreamed of one day selling my artwork around the world and using the proceeds to support orphanages and underprivileged communities. Even then, I felt my purpose was bigger than myself—I always believed I was here to make a difference.
What began with art eventually grew into a passion for networking and bringing people together. For the past 19 years, I’ve poured that passion into producing hundreds of unforgettable events—from fashion shows and film premieres to entrepreneur awards and international networking gatherings. To me, these events are more than productions; they are platforms where creativity and opportunity meet.
My journey has taken me across the U.S.—from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and Dallas—and internationally to Tokyo (Japan) and Shenzhen (China). Along the way, I didn’t just create events, I built relationships. Those connections ultimately grew into The World Networks, a global community of entrepreneurs committed to making an impact. The media even dubbed our signature event, The World Networks Entrepreneur Awards, as “the Oscars for entrepreneurs,” which was an incredible honor.
This year, The World Networks is celebrating its 15th anniversary in Los Angeles. But my story doesn’t stop there—I’m also preparing to launch a new chapter of The World Networks in Mayuge District, Uganda, where we will connect local entrepreneurs to global opportunities.
Through it all, my vision has stayed the same: to use art, events, and human connection as a way to create lasting impact. For me, every event is more than just a gathering—it’s a chance to change lives.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The most challenging part of my journey has been staying true to myself and my values. There were many voices in society telling me to chase investors or put on a façade because that’s supposedly the fastest way to grow a business.
But I made a conscious choice: I would rather stay authentic, even if it meant growing more slowly. That decision wasn’t always easy, but it allowed me to build something real and meaningful. I believe the world needs more authenticity—more genuine talents and brands that reflect who they truly are. After all, success built on truth may take longer, but it lasts longer. And we should never be too quick to judge a book by its cover.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’ve often been called the “Networking Queen,” which feels a bit ironic now that I’m shifting my focus toward building my own personal online brand. For the past 19 years, I’ve dedicated myself to connecting others with opportunities and elevating their brands. Now, I’m embracing a new chapter—one centered on my own growth and vision. I couldn’t be more excited for this journey ahead!
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
The advice I would give to an entrepreneur would be to join our networking organization. You will have access to amazing entrepreneurs, resources, and most importantly meet like-minded individuals at world class networking events.
At this time we are looking to expand in different cities and it’s a great opportunity to become an ambassador with us. If you like more information please contact me for details.
