Rising Stars: Meet Laure Dansou of Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laure Dansou

Hi Laure, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always knew since I was I young girl that I wanted to be a makeup artist, my whole childhood was oriented, directly or indirectly towards this industry because I knew I wanted to make it a career and very early on. Later in life, I was lucky enough to meet people that gave me the opportunities. I’ve started with advertising and I still do, I’ve also worked for La Maison Céline in Paris for several years and this definitely leaded my steps further more into the Fashion Industry.
And finally, I signed with Walter Schupfer Management with whom I’ve been working for the last decade.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a lot of hard work, patience and networking , as well as career choices, but as I told you, I’ve always wanted to do this job it’s more than a job it’s my passion , I’ve always believed in my dreams.
Like any artist’s life, there are periods that are calmer than others, which can be stressful sometimes , but always keep your goal in mind, especially if it’s your passion.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Naturally demanding and a perfectionist, I express my artistic sensibility through a specific “touch”. My way of working with textures and revealing the original beauty of the model is in perfect harmony with today’s visual technologies.
That’s why I pay particular attention to texture, to bring out the natural beauty of the skin, and I think that’s why I’m recognized both in France and abroad. I have a cinematic artistic vision when I work, trying to bring out the beauty of celebrities through natural make-up techniques, which are combined with the indecency of the French “sexy attitude”.
