Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Renee.
Hi Jessica, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my career as a hairstylist after getting my cosmetology license in 2017 and quickly fell in love with helping women feel confident and beautiful. Over time, I realized that confidence went far beyond hair — so many women, especially busy moms and entrepreneurs, were struggling to feel like themselves when they got dressed every day.
As a single mom, I also understood firsthand how easy it is to lose yourself in the chaos of work, motherhood, and everyday life. I became passionate about helping women reconnect with themselves through personal style in a way that feels realistic, intentional, and empowering.
What started as helping clients put outfits together naturally evolved into personal styling. Today, I focus on helping women create wardrobes that actually support their lifestyle, body, and goals instead of leaving them overwhelmed with closets full of clothes they never wear.
My approach is less about trends or shopping and more about transformation, teaching women how to dress to grab attention in the room, shop with intention, and feel like the best version of themselves every day.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many women, I’ve gone through seasons of burnout, self-doubt, and trying to balance everything at once. Working long hours behind the chair while raising a daughter taught me a lot about resilience. Still, it also showed me how easy it is to pour everything into everyone else and forget about yourself in the process.
One of the biggest struggles was learning how to evolve my career while still being present as a mom. I knew I wanted more freedom, creativity, and impact, but stepping into personal styling and building a personal brand felt intimidating at first. There were moments where I questioned whether people would take me seriously or whether I was “qualified enough” to pivot into something bigger.
I’ve also experienced personal challenges that forced me to rebuild parts of my life and identity. But honestly, those experiences are what shaped the way I work with women today. I understand what it feels like to lose confidence, to feel disconnected from yourself, or to hide behind oversized clothes and exhaustion.
The struggles ultimately gave me a deeper purpose. They taught me that style is about so much more than clothes; it’s about confidence, self-worth, and showing up for yourself again.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work as a transformational personal stylist, specializing in helping female entrepreneurs build confidence and intention in how they present themselves. My work goes far beyond shopping or organizing closets; I help women understand how to use style as a tool for confidence, personal branding, and business growth.
I truly believe what you wear is often more important than your logo or website because you are the face of your business. Before someone experiences your offer, they experience your presence. You are a walking billboard for your brand, and the way you present yourself can either attract aligned, high-paying clients or unintentionally repel them.
I teach women that style is not superficial; it’s communication. The way you show up tells people how you value yourself, your business, and the experience you provide. When a woman feels confident and aligned in what she’s wearing, she naturally carries herself differently, speaks differently, and attracts different opportunities.
What sets me apart is that I don’t approach styling from a trend-focused perspective. I focus on transformation, identity, and energy. I teach women how to dress intentionally for their body, lifestyle, goals, and the version of themselves they are stepping into. My goal is not to create dependence on me as a stylist, but to empower women with the tools and confidence to shop and style themselves with purpose long-term.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories honestly explains my personality perfectly. My parents used to dare me to do the most embarrassing things in exchange for a new outfit, especially if it involved Bebe Sport clothes, because I was obsessed.
One time at Outback Steakhouse during football season, they dared me to do my full cheer dance in the middle of the restaurant’s bar area… with a brown paper bag over my head. I was absolutely mortified, but those Bebe Sport pants were on the line, so naturally I did it anyway. And honestly? I wore those pants like they were designer couture afterward.
Another time, they dared me to eat a giant chunk of wasabi, which is hilarious because even ketchup can be spicy to me sometimes. I still don’t know how I survived that one.
Looking back, I think those moments are part of why I’ve always connected confidence, self-expression, and fashion. Clothes felt exciting and empowering to me from such a young age, even if I had to embarrass myself a little to earn them.
