Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Barretto.
Hannah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My background is in corporate fashion—I spent over a decade in buying and merchandising, working with brands here in Los Angeles as well as a major national retailer. I absolutely loved what I was doing, so when I was laid off after having my second child, it was a tough moment. But it also pushed me to think creatively and tap into what I’ve always been passionate about: helping people feel confident in what they wear and how they present themselves.
For a little over two years, I had the opportunity to assist an incredibly talented celebrity stylist here in LA, which was an eye-opening and inspiring experience. That, combined with the fact that I’ve always been the go-to person in my circle for style tips, shopping links, and outfit ideas, really set the stage for what I’m doing now. Over the years, I found myself naturally helping friends and family put together looks for everything from everyday wear to special events and trips. It’s all grown organically from there.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’d definitely say we’re still in the early stages. There’s a lot of learning as I go, especially when it comes to structuring the styling side of the business. It’s not a one-size-fits-all model—everything is so personalized, which makes it incredibly rewarding but also a bit of a learning curve. At the same time, I’m building the social presence that blends my work in styling with my own personal style and snippets of life at home with my husband and our two little ones. Finding a rhythm between growing a business and balancing home life has been a challenge, and I’m still figuring it out—but that’s part of the journey.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My passion really lies in giving people the tools they need to feel confident and successful when it comes to how they dress and present themselves. While style might seem superficial to some, I truly believe it has the power to shift your mood, boost your confidence, and even change the way you see yourself. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch someone light up when they feel good in what they’re wearing or when you find that perfect piece they’ve been wanting or needing.
For me, it’s not about trends or a one-size-fits-all approach—everyone’s body, preferences, and lifestyle are different. My goal is to meet people where they are and offer guidance that feels personal and empowering. I want it to feel like a conversation, not a set of rules.
I also use my social platforms as a space to inspire. Whether it’s sharing outfit formulas, styling tips, or what I’m wearing in everyday life, the goal is to help people find new ideas and feel confident getting dressed right at home. It doesn’t have to be complicated or curated—just approachable and real.
What I’m most proud of is taking the leap to build this business and finally leaning into something I’ve felt passionate about for so long. And what sets me apart is that I truly see styling as a partnership. I’m not here to dictate what someone should wear—I’m here to help them discover what makes them feel their best and support them through that process.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Los Angeles is truly a special place—I’ve called it home for almost ten years now, so I like to think of myself as a local now. What I love most about LA is its incredible diversity and the passion of the people who live here. The city has this unique sense of unity and loyalty that really resonates with me—I’m a big loyalist myself, so that aspect means a lot. People here are genuinely proud to be Angelenos, and they’re not shy about showing it.
As for what I like least? Definitely the traffic—that’s the one downside everyone knows about! And honestly, with friends scattered all over the city, my dream would be for us all to live just 10 minutes apart. That would make life so much easier and more fun.
