Rising Stars: Meet DeAngela Mann of Cincinnati, Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to DeAngela Mann.

Hi DeAngela, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey into modeling started later than most, during a time when I was learning to embrace my confidence and step fully into who I am. What began as a personal challenge quickly grew into real opportunities – from walking in Fashion Week Columbus to collaborating with brands and creatives who value authenticity and representation. Today I’m a signed curve model based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and I’m passionate about using my presence in this space to show that it’s never too late to pursue something that brings you to life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Starting my modeling journey later in life meant pushing past self-doubt and learning to trust that I belonged in rooms where others had been working for years. I also had to learn the business side of the industry, how to advocate for myself, build confidence, and stay grounded in who I am. Those experiences shaped me in a positive way, and today they remind me that growth often happens outside of your comfort zone

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a curve model based in the Cincinnati, Ohio area, and my work spans runway, editorial, commercial and showroom. I specialize in bringing confidence, professionalism, and authentic energy to every project I’m part of. Over time, I’ve had the opportunity to walk in shows such as Fashion Week Columbus and New York Fashion Week, including walking for designers visiting from overseas. Those experiences have allowed me to collaborate with creatives from different backgrounds and continue growing within the industry.

What I’m most proud of is how my journey has grown into something bigger than just modeling. What started as a personal step toward confidence has turned into an opportunity to represent women who don’t always see themselves reflected in fashion and to encourage others to pursue goals that may feel outside of their comfort zone.

What sets me apart is the intention I bring to the work. I focus not only on the look, but also on connection, how a brand’s story, the audience, and the creative vision all come together. I aim to bring a presence that feels authentic, professional, and memorable every time I step onto a runway or onto a set

I’m always open to collaborating with brands, designers, photographers, and creatives who prioritize authenticity, professionalism, and compelling visual storytelling. My work predominantly appears in runway, editorial, and brand campaigns, and I relish projects that empower me to infuse confidence and genuine energy into the creative vision.
