Today we’d like to introduce you to Aran Jeon.
Hi Aran, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Raised by an immigrant parents who worked hard to support me. My mom’s hard work definitely taught me a lot with my work ethic. Growing up i’ve always been into art more than anything else, especially during school. Nothing ever captured my interest like art class did. Honestly, after graduating high school, I felt lost—I didn’t really have anything going for me.
But then someone very special to me suggested that I try doing nails. I took a chance on it, and it turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made.
As I started learning, I began to explore the craft more deeply. The more I practiced, the more I fell in love with it. My passion for nails grew stronger every day, and it became more than just a job—it became a part of who I am.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It wasn’t always easy and smooth.
It took some time for sure for me to be where im at today.
My first nail salon I worked at, i was bullied. I had so much passion and wanted to learn more but they always shut me down,
Finally left the place and was lost. Didn’t know where i would go that i would be more fit.
This lady, i call her ba Ngoai(grandma in Vietnamese ) she took me in. Worked there for 4 years and had my daughter during those times. She helped me raise my kids while i worked. I discover more of art. After awhile I realize i need to be out there more and learn. And that’s when i took the opportunity. And started as private nail artist. Now im here !
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in Korean and Japanese nails .
I strongly believe Connection and being authentic are key. Business is business, but creating a space where clients feel comfortable to speak up is just as important.
I’m always strict when it comes to my work, but I make sure my clients know it’s a two-way street: I take care of them, and they take care of me.
I get a lot of nail inspiration from everyday life.
Sometimes I’ll be out shopping, see a cute graphic or detail on a shirt, and think—that would look so good on a set of nails.
When it comes to fashion, I honestly just go with what looks best on me.
In a way, I get inspired by myself—and that’s where my creativity really flows.
I deliver precision, high quality.
I work fast but efficient.
I am proud to be an artist that my mom is proud of.
Proud to be a mom my kids are proud of.
Genuinely sharing what I love to do is seen to the world and in the industry,
Making moves in this industry is such a big deal to me.
If i can inspire one person in this world, i know i am doing something right.
