Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexx Media.
Hi Alexx, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started WTFMedia in 2020 during the pandemic as a way to create content when everything was shut down. It began with producing and distributing digital shows focused on real conversations around culture, entertainment, and current events.
As things opened back up, I focused on building out the brand, improving production quality, developing studio capabilities, and expanding across platforms like YouTube, Patreon, and social media. Over time, WTFMedia evolved from just content creation into a full media platform working with talent, producing shows, and growing a loyal audience.
Today, WTFMedia is a production and content ecosystem focused on authentic conversations, scalable digital content, and building a strong community around the brand.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting during the pandemic meant limited resources, no clear roadmap, and having to build everything from scratch while the industry itself was shifting.
One of the biggest challenges was gaining traction early on, cutting through a crowded digital space and building an audience without a large budget. There were also growing pains around consistency, scaling production, and figuring out how to turn content into a sustainable business.
Over time, those challenges forced us to adapt quickly, stay lean, and focus on what actually resonates with audiences. That process helped shape WTFMedia into a more focused and scalable platform today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I work as a creative producer across video production, editing, and show development. My focus has been on telling stories through content, whether that’s behind the camera handling cinematography and post-production, or helping bring larger projects to life from concept to release.
I’ve had the opportunity to be part of projects like Schulz Saves America on Netflix, which gave me valuable experience working at a higher production level. I also create and host original content like AM Mornings, where I try to build a space for real conversations around culture, entertainment, and current events.
I think what’s shaped my work the most is being hands-on throughout the entire process, learning how to shoot, edit, and produce while also understanding what resonates with an audience. I’m most proud of being able to contribute to projects that connect with people and continue to grow over time.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think the media industry will continue shifting toward more direct to audience content over the next 5 to 10 years. Creators and smaller production teams will have more control over distribution through platforms like YouTube, Patreon, and emerging channels rather than relying solely on traditional networks.
There will also be a greater emphasis on authenticity and interaction. Audiences do not just want to watch content anymore, they want to be part of it. Formats that involve live elements, community engagement, and real time feedback will continue to grow.
At the same time, technology especially AI will make production more efficient and lower the barriers to entry. That will increase competition but also create more opportunities for creators who can stand out with a clear voice and consistent quality.
Overall, I see the industry becoming more decentralized, faster moving, and more creator driven, with success depending on the ability to build a strong connection with an audience.
