Meet Tye Myers of The Basement/Penthouse of Noho in North Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tye Myers.

Tye, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
“The Basement of Noho” is a private dance studio located in the heart of The Noho Arts District. It was originally opened by my best friend in 2007. I took it over in 2012 and expanded the basement upstairs to “The Penthouse of Noho” in 2015 which is a Production, Studio and event space on the top Street level of “The Basement”.

I’ve been a professional dancer for 15yrs with artist like Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Prince to name a few. I would say more than half of my clientele are from my relationships from my dance career. I pride myself in providing a personable and private space where artist can come and create freely.

I am currently pursuing acting and performing in theatre plays as well as running the both businesses.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Owning any business has its challenges. There are lots of obstacles and challenges but hey, that’s what keeps life exciting!!!

Please tell us about The Basement/Penthouse of Noho.
The Basement specializes in Providing Private studio rentals. We are known for Artist development rehearsals and Entertainment Industry private dance rehearsals.

We aren’t a normal dance studio with classes which sets us apart from other studios. Celebrity clients know they can come create and work freely in privacy at our space.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have done nothing differently. My choices, wrong and right have been learning tools.
