Today, we’d like to introduce you to Traviss Kraisoraphong. Traviss was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Nina Tulio.

Hi Traviss , we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
I began my journey as a salon owner 16 years ago. I previously worked at a highly successful, yet highly toxic salon for 12 years. These early years inspired me to seek a better way to nurture and support growing stylists. Creating positive culture and providing a healthy, creative environment was my biggest mission. But due to my lack of experience in leadership, I truly believed that my big heart, strong work ethic, and creative spirit would be enough to elevate my talented team. It didn’t take long for me to learn that leadership requires so much more! I now have a 20 person strong team, our revenue continues to grow each year, and my time and energy is focused on becoming the best leader I can so I can effectively build successful stylists!

Please tell us more about your brand, Noel Sy
We are beauty service providers and we believe that beauty is created from the inside out. You must feel beautiful to look beautiful. Because of this, we are highly experience driven. We strive to build trusting relationships with attention to detail and communication. We are team based and each of us contributes to the guest experience. Hospitality is a key ingredient often lost in the beauty space. We also describe ourselves as an inclusive luxury brand. While some of our pricing is on the higher scale, we also offer junior pricing for those seeking a more economical option. This opens the door wider for those that appreciate a salon with our values. I am most proud of the fact that the majority of our team started their journey at NoëlSy as assistants and have since grown into successful stylists.

So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Nina Tulio and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Nina Tulio.
I first discovered Nina on Instagram during the Covid shutdown. In Pennsylvania, we were required to close for almost four months and needless to say, it was a very trying time and more was required from my leadership than ever! I found Nina’s message so relevant and I knew I needed more. She is so relatable and her former experience as a salon owner resonated with me. I instinctively knew she was exactly who I needed to help me develop my business into the vision I had yet to realize. I had never had a coach before and to be honest, I was a bit nervous about beginning this relationship. But from our first session, it was clear that Nina has zero judgment and her intention is to support me with her wealth of knowledge, experience, and systems. Salon ownership can be a lonely place and Nina was the coach/ friend/ mentor/ therapist that I desperately needed!! What I most enjoy about working with Nina is her no nonsense approach to creating solutions. She helps take seemingly complicated situations and make them simple with real world resolutions. The biggest impact I’ve seen in my business due to Nina’s coaching is my leadership and communication with my team. She has taught me how to read reports, translate them into goals, and share them in a one on one conversation. The positive impact of these constructive one on ones has been tremendous! This has also helped cement our core values into our culture and expectations. I deeply admire Nina’s ability to be strong and vulnerable simultaneously. The industry is better because of her.
