Meet Tikki Vibez and DMile of We Are Glitch in Anaheim

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tikki Vibez and DMile.

Tikki and DMile, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We Are Glitch is a fusion duo consisting of Dmile on Synth and drums. Accompanied by Tikki Vibez on lead guitar and vocals. Their styles have both merged into becoming a new genre itself, fusion pop. Glitch first came into fruition back in 2019 when they first started doing live arrangements to popular tunes.

At the time, I (Tikki Vibez) was musically bored of playing other artist music and wanted to venture out. Around summer of 2019 is when I was introduced to DMILE by another musician named “Tiki”.

Surprisingly to me he was interested in creating music with me. He shared the same passion for creating music that is not so “cookie-cutter”, and from then on, he and I created the band called We Are Glitch.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Dmile: The only real struggle is starting off from scratch, building something off the ground. Especially with no support financially or even mentally. You have to be your own manager, musician, photographer.

Our sound is something that we take pride on. It’s also something that we are still endlessly experimenting & fine-tuning.

Tikki: Let’s just say you find yourself in this weird mix of “happy depression.” Being an indie artist means lots of high and lows. All your emotions are at a 1,000 because you become super sensitive on the art you create and share. Mainly for us because it’s just the 2 of us. We have to do everything ourselves. I had to teach myself on how to practice patience. Everything isn’t going to fall together at the snap of a finger.

Also learning that the people you thought were your close friends aren’t necessarily going to be your biggest supporters.

We Are Glitch – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We Are Glitch is a fusion pop duo! We create live arrangements to top hits. Along with our own sound for our original music.

Dmile: Our EP, The Second Coming, is something that I take pride and joy in. It was a big testament of everything that we have accomplished in a year together.

I’m especially proud of our live arrangements that we have created! We are constantly challenging ourselves as musician to add our twist to people’s music.

Tikki: I say what sets us apart from other bands in that we have original music for the masses, while also having live covers to songs. Our live arrangements have a sexy/ funky “expensive” feel to it. Where musically advance listeners can appreciate. We have the best of both worlds! We are our own artist! A lot of musicians don’t really know how to brand themselves to the public or know how to make music that simple but musically catchy.

Also, me being a female guitarist is a curveball for most men. Especially the sexist ones 😉

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Completing our first EP, The Second Coming.
