Teng, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
When I was in high school, I knew I wanted to focus on Architecture or Engineering. I also really loved being outdoors. I decided to try drafting classes in high school and that taught me a lot about the design process. I devoted my college years to study Landscape Architecture and in my younger years I helped my mom around our garden at home. All this learning really brought everything together. It is such a joy today helping homeowners beautify their landscapes.

Has it been a smooth road?
I think starting any business is a struggle, but I enjoy helping others with their landscapes. I learn from each home that I design and build. So in that way, business takes time, but I am enjoying meeting new people and helping them the best I can.

My clients are homeowners looking to create new landscapes or to replace or update their existing landscapes. No matter who they are or what their budget, I help them with individualized attention to save them time, money, and frustration. I create landscapes that are beautiful, functional and long-lasting.

What is different about my process then other businesses is that I provide the homeowner with a complete professional architectural landscape design plan that others might not. I really simplify each part of the design process for the homeowner with plans, diagrams, and breakdowns.

Having a design plan really is the best way to start any landscape project. You can see the entire home on paper before any construction is started.

At the end of the day, landscapes are designed and built for my clients. They get to enjoy what has been built with their friends and family. The finished landscape is the most satisfying part of my work.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
You could say one of biggest issues we have with Los Angeles is the traffic and getting around. Once our city embraces more public transportation, I think living in LA will be that much more desirable.

I have been living in LA all my life. You really do see how diverse our city is. I am lucky I get to meet people of all backgrounds in Los Angeles.
