Meet Tehri Green of Royal Reliance

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tehri Green.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tehri. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My music roots began at church but I was inspired to take it serious after watching different artist on television such as Musiq Soulchild, Bobby V, Lyfe Jennings. Once I realized it was gift from God I realized the gift has a purpose attached to it. So behind enjoying feel good vibes and melodies, I want to be sure I fulfill that.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The studio is smooth the journey gets rough, understanding where you belong but accepting where you are is challenging but love to the late great Nipsey Hussle I’ve been understanding the marathon and the beauty of the journey. It’s not the lack of fame that’s frustrating just the fact that people don’t always give you that opportunity to connect and you know without a doubt if they have that opportunity they would definitely appropriate the substance in the music.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a singer songwriter and CEO of my own label/cooperation, Royal Reliance. I’ve been recording music since my junior year of high school I’m known for love songs I’ve created over time. What sets me apart from others is the authenticity I bring, my perspective on true life relationships with family friends and God and my conscious will to go against the grain of what’s “hot” to everybody in the streets. I’m most proud that I’ve found my voice and my lane in music.

What were you like growing up?
Uhhh I was always shy, always fly. Funny and always positive I still am. My interests have always been music, sports, art and people.
