Meet Stephanie Gordon of Styled By Steph

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Gordon.

Hi Stephanie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and I’ve had a deep passion for fashion for as long as I can remember. By the age of five, I was changing my outfits four times a day. As a teenager, I spent countless hours flipping through Vogue with my sister, dreaming of a future in the industry. After graduating and searching for my path, I landed an internship with Simone Camille Handbags, founded by renowned wardrobe stylist Simone Harouche. That opportunity led to four years working under Simone as a wardrobe stylist assistant, where I gained invaluable experience styling artists such as Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, and Nicole Richie.

From there, I became the content manager for Roseark showroom, where I developed a deep appreciation for fine jewelry. For nearly a decade, I’ve been with The RealReal, currently representing their Trusts & Estates division on the West Coast. In recent years, I’ve reignited my work as a stylist—now focusing on helping everyday, fabulous women and men in my community feel their absolute best.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As life goes, the road has been bumpy—full of peaks and valleys. Working as a stylist is one of the most demanding jobs; it’s incredibly physical and requires a huge investment of time and energy. There are a lot of big personalities in that world—some generous, some not so lovely—but I was fortunate to work with some of the best. Stepping away from a potential career as a celebrity stylist and closing that chapter was one of the hardest choices I’ve made, but I was craving stability.

Now, working in a corporate organization has been a blessing, and I truly appreciate the ethos The RealReal stands by. I’m grateful to have found a balance—building a career I love, enjoying my clients, and giving their wardrobes new life.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Styled By Steph?
Styled By Steph was born from a lifelong passion for the art of getting dressed. I work with everyday people who are looking to refresh their wardrobe, elevate their personal style, or achieve a specific style goal. I specialize in closet cleanouts, restyling what you already own, and—when needed—filling in the gaps with a thoughtfully curated shopping list.

Each session is personal and intentional; I typically spend 3–4 hours with each client to really understand their lifestyle, needs, and goals. I also offer personal shopping for those who don’t love the process or simply don’t have the time—bringing the experience straight to their bedroom. Styled by Steph is about helping people feel confident, comfortable, and fabulous in their everyday lives, with a wardrobe that truly reflects who they are.

What are your plans for the future?
My future goal is to make personal styling more accessible. I work with in-person clients locally in Los Angeles, but I’m also available for virtual sessions and special occasion styling for clients anywhere. I truly believe every day is the perfect excuse to get dressed up—even if it’s just to walk your dog around the block. I’m passionate about helping people build wardrobes that reflect their authentic selves.
