Meet Rolan Pongpuntara of Side Kitch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rolan Pongpuntara.

Hi Rolan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been a food entrepreneur since 2012. I started off delivering juice cleanses to my friends and family. After, I own a restaurant and have expanded my business to catering. It’s been an exciting and rewarding journey, with each year bringing new experiences and challenges. It’s wonderful that I can explore different aspects of the food industry and make a positive impact on people’s lives through food. I’ve even incorporated food and flowers into my catering services, providing table statement for parties and events.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Owning a business is very hard, but you just have to work hard and get through it. It’s probably easier said than done, but it’s very hard. It has ups and downs, slow months and fast months, and you have to hustle and ride it out.

As you know, we’re big fans of Side Kitch. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I specialize in healing people through food. With years of experience in the food industry, I also took special training in Reiki and breathwork. My services include providing healthy food options with dietary restrictions, as well as catering for special diets for individuals or large gatherings.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
We have organized large parties up to 1500 people, which is truly fulfilling and rewarding. It’s about incorporating healthy and enjoyable food that bring people together.
