Today we’d like to introduce you to Queen Of Africa Town.
Queen Of, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Well, I modeled for the Crenshaw area, and I started modeling around the area, then I started doing activism for crenshaw mall. Then at lemiert park, before Africa town, then with an organization called Africa Town started ganjng respect in the lemiert park community, then after a while I became the queen of africa town.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth roast, i have had my ups and downs just like everyone else, I had to learn to be tough and not let people walk all over me, I had to fight for my place in lemiert park, the same people that ended up disrespecting me, are the same people that ended up showing me love.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have my own digital arts graphic design, I specialize in giving the client what they want and need graphically, digitally, I can hand draw, and dance etc… I spealize in making people laugh…
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
In order to find a mentor, u have to be willing to listen and learn, be humble, if the mentor is beneficial towards you
