Today we’d like to introduce you to Prince Joshua.
Prince , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m Prince Joshua—a natural-born performer driven by movement, fashion, and unapologetic self-expression. From nightlife stages to Pride festivals, I bring high energy, bold charisma, and a signature presence that blends dance, music, and style. Now based in Hollywood, I perform as a dancer, rapper, and MC, known for electrifying shows, fearless flair, and a radiant edge. My work has been featured on OUTtv and major stages across the country, and in 2025 I was honored as Go-Go of the Year and Local Music Artist of the Year. I don’t just perform—I invite people into my world and leave them wanting more.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of my biggest struggles was unlearning fear. I grew up in a very religious, conservative environment where queerness wasn’t something I even knew I was allowed to imagine for myself. Coming out took years of patience, difficult conversations, and learning how to stand in my truth without losing my family—or myself. Even after coming out, I hid behind a “safe” version of who I was, afraid to take up too much space. It wasn’t until I left home that I learned how to be unapologetic, trust my vision, and build confidence from the ground up. Navigating new cities, competitive creative spaces, and constantly proving my worth taught me resilience, self-belief, and how to turn vulnerability into power.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a rapper, dancer, and fashion creative, I’ve built my career by doing everything hands-on. I style my own music videos and photoshoots, write and perform all of my music, and use dance—especially go-go dancing—not just as an art form, but as a way to fund and fuel my creative vision. I’ve already lived dreams I once thought were impossible, from being on television to performing in front of massive crowds and sharing stages with iconic artists. Because I’ve seen what belief, discipline, and self-expression can create, I truly believe the possibilities from here are limitless. I now produce my own event at the Abbey Weho, a dance party named EDN an acronym for Electric Dance Night pronounced Eden like the birthplace of man and sin. It’s a beautiful new outlet for me to incorporate my passions into my workplace and I’m just getting started. Follow my pages @ThePrinceJoshua @EDNparty.
How do you think about luck?
I don’t see luck as something random—I see it as preparation meeting timing. Every opportunity I’ve had came from being ready to execute when the moment appeared. By consistently working, creating, and putting myself out there—styling my own visuals, writing and performing my music, dancing, and showing up night after night—I learned how to read a room, analyze a situation, and move with purpose. When an idea hits, I already have the skills, confidence, and discipline to act on it. What people call luck is really the result of years of commitment, self-belief, and knowing when to say yes and go all in.
