Meet Patricia Edwards

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Edwards.

Hi Patricia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am Patricia Edwards, Founder of Flawless Belle and mother of three. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY now residing in Huntsville, AL. I love fashion, online shopping, and being different. Flawless Belle was fueled by my love for fashion, but I always struggled to find my own unique style. In January 2014, I lost my mom due to lupus complications and I founded Flawless Belle to honor her memory. My mom loved lipstick and fashion accessories, so that was the original focus. As time progressed, I transitioned into offering styling services and exclusive fashion accessories. The goal of Flawless Belle is to help encourage confidence in developing our client’s own personal exclusive style. I affectionately refer to myself as the “Stylist Concierge”, if a client desires a specific look, I will deliver. The Flawless Belle team is a family-owned and operated venture that is expanding beyond fashion and aspires to become a household name.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Becoming an entrepreneur is definitely not for the weak. In today’s social society keeping up with trends, reels, and surviving the pandemic, it definitely takes a toll. During quarantine, my sister was diagnosed with lupus, so we used it as a catalyst to fundraise and bring awareness to the silent disease. Although the struggles may arise day to day, we still find a way to #StayFlawless.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I consider myself a “Stylist Concierge”, if a client wants a specific accessory or clothing item, I find it. If a client requires a specific look, I create it. If a client doesn’t know how to style a look, I bring that vision to life. I am most proud of myself for following the vision that was placed on my heart. What sets Flawless Belle apart from others is we are fashion innovators, we stand out by setting trends, not following the trends.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Finding a mentor is a process that needs to be thought out thoroughly. First, discover why you’d like a mentor. Second, research the qualities you’d like the mentor to display. Third, have two or three people in mind that you’d be interested in having as a mentor. My advice for networking is attend events, introduce yourself often, and definitely wear your brand as a conversation piece; whether it be an item of clothing with your logo or business name. Networking goes a long way in creating new opportunities.
