Today we’d like to introduce you to Parris Noelle.
Hi Parris, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my career as a hairdresser 16 years ago. I went to school at Paul Mitchell. I always wanted to own my own salon and in 2018 that dream came true. I own bungalow 21 salon and spa in calabasas and it is truly everything I could have hoped for. Including my cafe inside my salon which was one of my first ideas when trying to think of this concept!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There will always be struggles owning any business so there have been struggles but I can say today it is running as smooth as possible and all the struggles has brought me to where I am today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am so proud of my salon and my entire team that I have there. I love what I do and now I have a place to call a second home. Hair has always been my passion I love color and cutting and I have been so blessed to have a job that I love and enjoy doing. I have created a space that feels comfortable for clients and to work in and I’m proud of that. All of my clients are like family and my team has also become family.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Finding the right mentor is huge. Also to always keep learning and making sure a mentor knows that to help guide you no matter what. This industry is ALWAYS growing and expanding so there’s always room to learn no matter how long you’ve been doing it!
