Meet Nima Christensen of The Red Chickz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nima Christensen.

Hi Nima, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey began in Denmark, but my drive was forged in New York City. At age 10, my single mother brought my sister and me to the U.S. and set an example of incredible sacrifice, often working 65-75 hours a week just to keep us afloat. Many dinners were canned beans. Resourcefulness became my most valuable skill. However, after several life events, I hit rock bottom in 2012, finding myself homeless and sleeping in my 2009 Corolla. I spent the next year couch-surfing and even sleeping in an office, constantly working to rebuild. My lucky break arrived with my mentor, Shawn Lalehzarian, who kickstarted my mindset shift by sending me to a Tony Robbins UPW event. With constant dedication to growth and the support of my life-partner, Brenda Ochoa, I transformed my life. This persistence is what allowed me to co-found The Red Chickz in 2018, a venture we are now scaling across the country. The biggest lesson I learned? For years, I focused on the problems. Now, I understand that success isn’t about avoiding challenges; it’s about being solution-minded, because the more problems you solve, the more value you create.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The Road has defiantly not been smooth. I have had many struggles throughout my journey, many of them self driven. The biggest struggle was defiantly myself. From not having a father figure to teach me life, I always had to do what I thought was best with the experience I had. My mindset was in a victim state for a long time. Finding self love and knowing I was actually worth and deserving of loving and achieving great things.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Together with my business partners Shawn Lalehzarian and Tony Talasazan we started the restaurant in 2018. Our journey started with one store in Downtown Los Angeles, that is know a brand with 60 stores in development through out the country. With no outside investment firm, we have truly build everything from ground up. Everything we do is based on hard work and persistence. We never took a no for a no. We have truly build a brand that is recognized every where we travel today.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson is defiantly, you must be solution orientated to do something big.
