Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Zhang.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I did not know what I wanted to do. I started working in the financial industry and the fashion industry after graduating with a bachelor’s in Business Administration and Fashion Design. I have always been interested in learning beauty care. While attending beauty school, I developed a passion for eyelash extensions and skin care. After working at different spas, and perfecting my skills, I opened my own business, Essential Organic Beauty Studio.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been a smooth road ever since I found what I wanted to do. I opened Essential Organic Beauty Studio 3 years ago. I learned that doing what you are passionate about is very rewarding. Even though everything was smooth I did have a bit of a learning curve. I had to learn how to run a business and still do.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Essential Organic Beauty Studio story. Tell us more about the business.
My business uses 100% organic products for facials and uses top quality products for eyelash extensions. I don’t settle for anything less. Throughout the years, I have developed different techniques that set me apart from other eyelash technicians, and that’s what I’m known for. I am most proud of the level of customer satisfaction and the number of repeat clients.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Life is about doing what you love, and always improving on what you love to do. I found my passion and made a career of it, I will say I’m the lucky one.
