Meet Nicholas Brock of Advanced Chiropractic Rehabilitation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas Brock.

Hi Nicholas, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Dr. Brock studied at the University of California Santa Barbara and focused on health and exercise science. After his undergraduate studies he went directly into the fitness industry and became a certified master trainer. Dr. Brock continued personal training while pursuing his chiropractic education at Cleveland Chiropractic College, where he graduated magna cum laude.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry and guided by his unwavering commitment to help people reach their health and wellness goals, he considers Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP) to be the ideal method to achieve lasting results. Through this approach, he is able to identify underlying structural barriers and posture disturbances that hinder individuals from achieving optimal health, going beyond pain relief and taking a holistic approach to patient care.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The most difficult challenges have been breaking down the paradigm that all chiropractic care is the same. While the goal of better health and function remains consistent within the profession, CBP (our preferred technique) aims to utilize published evidence to support and validate the type of care that a practice member may need and would see better results with.

We’ve been impressed with Advanced Chiropractic Rehabilitation, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We strive to make sure that each of our practice members has an amazing experience in our office. To ensure we get optimal results, first a thorough and detailed analysis of a person’s posture distortions is performed. If necessary, a very detailed x-ray analysis is used to determine the cause of these posture variances. Our care is then prescribed in a way that changes posture through the use of corrective exercises, mirror image adjustments, and posture specific traction to pull the spine towards an optimal position.
The easiest way to explain what we do is to use orthodontics as an example. Much like braces are used to move teeth. We use spinal remodeling braces to change the shape of one’s posture. Improving posture is not merely about aesthetics, but it improves how the nervous system functions and takes stress off of the nervous system and allows people to get out of pain and live the life they deserve.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
In my opinion, achieving success is finding joy in a work life balance. If I can serve my practice members every day in a way that allows them to get results and has them leave our business with a smile on their face then I go home happy.
In the same way when I’m home, I turn into husband and father and that is my most important role in life. Keeping that balance between the two is how I define my success.
