Today we’d like to introduce you to Miriam Garcia.
Hi Miriam, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
HoneyGalFash started as an idea back in 2020 during covid while I was at home. I started by first doing my research because I had no idea or any background on how it was to run a business. I started by watching YouTube videos and looking stuff up on Google. One of my best mentor was watching @bossmamajackie on YouTube I learned almost everything I needed from her. It took approximately six months to gather up everything from my paperwork to picking up my very first clothing pieces that I was going to drop. I invested most of my savings to buying my inventory. I officially launched my business online on Friday, November 13 2020 and it has been a journey from then. It’s been two years since I have opened and I have accomplished a lot of goals for my business but not all. I have done many pop-up events, dropped so many items and met so many girls and I am so thankful for it all.
I have had many ups and downs during the past two years of being in business and I have learned so much. My main motivation are my parents because they have been my main support through it all. When I have my pop-up events they are the ones who have been helping me from loading the car with all my stuff to setting up my booth and loading it up when it’s done. I wouldn’t be where I’m at without their support and help. Also, another of my biggest supports are my customers, they are the reason as to why HoneyGalFash is still standing they are always supporting my business on social media and buying from my shop.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of my main struggles is motivation, there has been times when I do want to giving up because I don’t have the motivation I need, A lot of tears and quitting thoughts have happened during the past two years and a half but thankfully, I don’t let it get the best of me. For example, one time when it came to dropping new items I had a plan for it and I felt like my marketing strategy was good enough but when it came to dropping the new items on my website it flopped it didn’t go as good as I thought it would. It was very disappointing because I had a vision and it didn’t go the way I wanted it to go. Thankfully I got over that and kept it moving. Another challenge I have faced is comparison, comparing myself to other business is always hard not to because I think to yourself why doesn’t it happen to me? Or why can’t I be like that too? But at the end of the day, we are all on our own path and our own person that comparison shouldn’t be part of it. Thankfully I have learned to not compare myself to other business but it can be hard.

HoneyGalFash is a boutique that gives you comfortable clothing pieces but makes you feel fashionable at the same time. I want women to feel good while wearing HoneyGalFash and boost their confidence. I personally love feeling comfortable while wearing my outfit I love stretchy clothing but I also love to feel fashionable at the same time. Our clothing quality is always at its best because we want it to last a long time. I am so thankful for every single order I receive and all the girls to shop with me at the polo-up events I do.
With summer being around the corner I am excited to do more pop-up events and bring you all the best spring and summer outfits to wear this season. I believe one of the things that set me apart from others will be that I like to go an extra mile for my costumer. I do pick up and drop off when a customer makes an order and lives near my area. I am willing to go to your location and drop off your order to you. I think it’s the best customer service someone can do of their customers.
What I am most proud of is being part of someone’s closet. Knowing that there are girls wearing my brand on a daily somewhere makes me so happy. I never thought I would be owning a business at this age. I am so proud of myself for not giving up on me. I keep pushing on a daily to make my audience notice me and I am so thankful to be where I’m at. I can’t wait for what else is coming my way.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next years, I see the clothing industry even bigger than what it is now. More trends coming or even old trends coming back; all I see is growth and even bigger changes. I am excited for what else I get to bring to my boutique.
