Meet Michele Bohbot of Oxynergy 2

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michele Bohbot.

Hi michele, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In 1989, I, along with my husband and 3 children at the time, moved abruptly from Paris to Los Angeles in pursuit of the “American Dream”. Fast forward, after many struggles, I was able to successfully launch my women’s apparel brand called Bisou Bisou – meaning little kiss in French. The collection appealed to the American market right away as it was very much the California girl that was my muse … I wanted her to be sexier and more elegant. This new concept and the use of innovative fabrics, brought the spotlight on the brand which became internationally renowned in a very short period of time. Our advertising campaigns won awards and added a tremendous value to the brand itself. During this very busy time in my life and having more children, I needed to find a balance between my personal life, family (kids and husband) and work as my husband also was the CEO of the company and we worked together every day. I discovered Yoga after my 5th child, when I was overwhelmed with a growing company and spread extremely thin in all areas of my life. Yoga brought me time for me and a way to stop and to control my growth in order to go further and be stronger. In 1997, i gave birth to twin girls (child 6 & 7) and found myself again truly more overwhelmed than ever having less and less time for myself. I was blessed to have read the alchemist by paulo coehlo that forced me to remember who I was and helped me reset my priorities and gave me the courage to change a lot of the things in my life. I learned to delegate more in order for me to do a better job with my children and to study yoga more deeply and developed a deep connection with the Light on Yoga by BKS Iyengar which lead me to eventually become a certified Iyengar Yoga instructor and later open my own yoga center called Namastday yoga center in Beverly Hills. In 2020 during covid, we had to shut down the studio which was devastating but also opened a door that I never expected to open. The pandemic and deaths of many close friends led me to deep research on ways to combat these types of viruses and help people recover holistically with non-invasive procedures or medication. I stumbled upon the benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and long story short – now own a Hyperbaric Longevity Center called Oxynergy 2 in the same location where my Yoga center used to be. The energy of the yoga served its purpose in a healing and restorative capacity to many people. The transition was seamless since I was always driven by the needs of serving the community. To this day, I still instruct and help a lot of clients with meditation, yoga, restorative yoga therapy. At Oxynergy 2 we offer different services for overall wellness like HBOT, IV therapy, red light therapy, sauna pod, biocharger. lymphatic massage, acupuncture, etc. Although my fashion design days are no longer active, I now my feed my creativity with helping others maximize their health and improve their lifestyle.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s never a smooth road. When we came to America, we spoke no English and had no friends and only one distant cousin here. It was hard. We sold everything to come here and didn’t have any choice but to make it here and knew that failing was not an option because I didn’t want to go back. I loved America so much that I wouldn’t accept her not loving me back. Beside the language, the culture, the way people did business here, etc. We lost everything and had to file for bankruptcy after two years of being here. Out of this desperation and rage… Bisou Bisou was born in 1989.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My Husband and now seven grown children have always been source of inspiration for me. My husband, Marc ran the business for me for over 25 years so that I can focus solely on design, production and creative direction needed to have a successful brand. My daughter, Cloe, one of the forementioned twins, is the co-founder of Oxynergy 2 and works alongside me every day as Marketing Director. She shares the same passion as me in wanting to bring awareness of the benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and the focus of inner well-being and longevity from the inside out.
