Meet Maurice McClain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maurice McClain.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I packed my car in 2017 and moved to LA from Iowa with my clothes and a dream. I’m now working in the industry that I’ve always dreamed of as a child full-time. I am acting, modeling, styling, and an overall entrepreneur.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road at all. My biggest lesson was learning that I couldn’t take everyone with me. I’ve also learned so much about myself in the process and the most valuable lesson is to take care of my mental health at all costs. This industry comes with its own challenges, let alone what the world throws at you. Secure your peace before the bag.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I proudly wear a few hats. I own a cleaning company, clothing company, and act. What I am most proud of is being a model and stylist. That is my first love. I believe what sets me apart is my genuine down to earth personality. It’s what’s needed in a seemingly superficial industry.
