Meet Mario Reyes of Marsteez Productions in Long Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mario Reyes.

Mario, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Marsteez Productions started out of the thought of creating our own clothing line, we purchased equipment to do so. Started producing items in one of my best friend’s garage. As we produced items for ourselves, people began to inquire for their own projects. While working in marketing, I finally made the leap to quit the day job and pursue Marsteez Productions full time as a screen-printing and graphic design business. By opening up and relocating the business it has brought my family and I freedom to live a certain lifestyle that we could’ve never done if we still had a 9-5. We have been establishing and growing the business for the past three years, creating a name and reputation for Marsteez Productions.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business is never an easy road. You face many obstacles, but it’s the mentally strong that succeeds. One of the biggest struggles is the financial insecurity of what’s to come in the near future. The thought of that insecurity is what drives you to keep moving forward and to step out of that comfort zone and force yourself to succeed. At the end of the day, it’s the unconditional support of my family and friends that kept me moving towards my goal.

Please tell us about Marsteez Productions.
We specialize in screen printing/promotional items but our main priority is customer service, to make sure every client knows that their project is just as important to us as it is for them. We always try to help our clients with the best option for them, whether it’s with us or a different route. What sets us apart from other businesses is that we try to build long term relationships and experiences with our clients instead of just a simple sale. We welcome all our clients as friends and family and we’ll continue to do so.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Luckily my childhood consisted of many great memories but would have to say soccer and camping will always be at the top. Now with this business, I am able to create many more memories with my own three boys. Having the ability of creating my own schedule, we are able to have our kids in soccer and be able to pick up on a random weekday to head out for camping.
