Maria is a Health & Wellness Mentor specializing in holistic and alternative modalities. She is an Author, successful entrepreneur, Spa Owner, Massage Therapist, Kundalini Yoga & Meditation Instructor for Adults and Children, Intuitive Healer, Reiki Healer, and Raw Food Chef and Instructor.

Maria revolutionized the spa industry nearly 15 years ago with her mobile day spa by bringing luxury spa services to the client and has since provided luxury spa services to everyone from Academy Award-winning celebrities, producers and directors, to Grammy-winning recording artists, sports celebrities as well as major film studios and corporations.

She has been featured extensively on ABC’s Eye On LA, CBS’s Lisa’s It List, KTLA Morning News, Fox 11 News, 9 on the Town, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Si TV, Entertainment Tonight and Extra, LA Times, Orange County Register, Daily Variety, Daily Candy, Lucky Magazine, Modern Bride, Healing and Spa Magazine and was hailed as “the hottest new business trend” in the January edition of the global business newsletter, Trendwatcher. Her expertise awarded her the privilege of being a special guest host reporting live from the Red Carpet for E! Entertainment Network as a health and beauty expert for the Emmy Awards.

Maria also owned and directed Sybaris Rejuvenation Lounge Spa, located in the ocean front luxury Shangri La Hotel in beautiful Santa Monica, California. Maria created and designed this exclusive sanctuary dedicated specifically to physical and spiritual rejuvenation.

She has designed and coordinated exclusive spa parties and events for hundreds of guests for the Oscar’s, the Emmy’s, the Grammy’s, Ellen, Allure Magazine, Red Bull X Games, Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (8 years), Lady Ga Ga Perfume Launch, NY Fashion Week, Neutrogena, Radio Music Awards, Teen Choice Awards, MTV Awards, People Magazine, Self Magazine and many, many more.

Most recently, Maria was asked to join the team at The Columbia Center for Integrative Medicine which is a holistic wellness and medical center with facilities in Columbia, MD, Woodland Hills, CA, Brentwood, CA, and Los Angeles, CA. Led by Dr. DV, CCIM specializes in reversing, preventing, and treating chronic medical illness in the scope of internal medicine. Maria is thrilled, to be a part of this amazing healing team.

Maria also just had the honor of receiving a Certificate of Recognition from the State of California Senator’s office of Senator Joel Anderson for her Outstanding Community Service for 2015. This was received for special recognition for her participation in the Integrated Health Conference and for her unyielding commitment to preventing and reversing cancer and other degenerative diseases.

Her vision is to spread joy, love and enthusiasm for life to every person she meets. She continually strives to uplift and inspire her clients, students, staff and friends to the realization that we are all connected and that our divine right is to be healthy, happy and to live a life of beautiful abundance.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Is any road every really smooth? There were many challenges along the way. I believe however, that it is our response to every challenge which can choose to make those challenges positive or negative. I choose to look at the challenges as positive and turn every struggle into a learning experience.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Maria Aparis story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a Health and Wellness Mentor. I am a guide to assist you to start living your most amazing thriving life! I specialize in gut wellness because I personally recovered from a severe health crisis. I believe in natural solutions and whole living. I recently completed my first book called The Essential Gut which tells my journey of Mastering Hashimoto’s Disease and other Auto-Immune Diseases. What sets me apart from others? I am not in the business of creating followers. I feel that too much emphasis is spent these days on wanting to satisfy the ego to gather followers. My intention is to build leaders. People who want to live and create their most amazing life! People who need guidance and the occasional maintenance for inspiration but not someone that they need on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Sure, we start out that way but my intention is to get my clients on their own and thriving as soon as possible.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck? Luck is one way to view it. I prefer to choose that I have personally created every single experience that I have. What some could consider bad luck, I choose to use those challenges as learning opportunities to continuously improve my game.
