Today we’d like to introduce you to MALCOLM IAN CROSS.
MALCOLM IAN, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I realized my true calling as an artist when I was six years old, and my love for design also came during my youth. It took me many iterations of self to commit to my craft full-time. My studies in the realm of healing combined with many careers and ultimately my work with plant medicine enabled me to create art that is beautiful to look at, healing and truly transformative for all to experience.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We currently live in a very polarized society. There are infinite possibilities for distraction as well as inspiration. I realize the need to be hyper-focused while also reinforcing the value of maintaining a deep belief in humanity, the true illumination through light, the epic outcomes of the frequency of joy and to prioritize- above all else LOVE.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am in constant study of inspiration, exploration, technique, color, creativity, leadership, personal transformation, music and design. The power of art heals. And with this awareness my artistic expressions are created with focused intentionality; to achieve a high frequency state with divine guidance. It is my greatest honor to create art and apparel that bring transformation, spiritual protection and healing to us all during this very impactful time of evolution of mankind on Mother Earth.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
My favorite color is indigo blue. For many moons its showed up in various ways in my art. Recently I’ve discovered my ancestral lineage leads all the way down south to my people referred to as the,”Gullah” people. We are original to this land. And are responsible for the MASSive presence of indigo blue all over the world through our master knowledge of cultivation. My ancestors been speaking to me in many ways especially indigo blue coming through in my art. Viva the Gullah!!!
