Today we’d like to introduce you to Low Octane.
Low Octane is a rock n’ roll band that write and perform material for the middle-aged set. But if you think that means easy listening, think again! Low Octane know that there are plenty of rockers of 40 years and over who still crave heavy music delivered at a reasonable volume… and Low Octane is here to fulfill that need!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Every member of Low Octane has been in numerous bands throughout their lives, and anyone who’s ever been in a band knows that it’s not an easy road. While the members of Low Octane make their living in artistic fields outside the music industry, our passion for rocking hard and riding free cannot be denied, and as such we hit the stages of LA and the Valley on a regular basis to deliver rock to the aging masses.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
Low Octane is a band that specializes in music that evokes early 80s heavy metal (Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden) and early 90s grunge (Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana) but with an edge all our own. We’re psyched to have our EP release “Lord of Delusion”, out and available on all the streaming/downloading platforms. We’re also wrapping up a fun music video with animator Damon Wellner to promote the EP that will also feature Mister Simian, an original animal rights anti-hero character who will be making his comic book debut later this year.
